  • Where: Mammoth Caves
    What: Free Tour Weekend
    On November 10, 11, and 12, the park will offer free guided Mammoth Passage tours. Each tour is limited to 50 people; visitors must pick up their free tickets at the visitor center prior to departure times.
    Mammoth Passage is a ¾-mile, 1¼ hour cave tour, and requires a walk down and up the hill below the visitor center, as well as 68 steps at the Historic Entrance.
    When: Mammoth Passage tours will depart from the visitor center at 9:15, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00.

  • Where: Louisville Science Center
    What: Messy Afternoons
    Messy Afternoons are filled with sloppy, icky, gunky and gooey activities intended to introduce young learners to science concepts and tools, and foster the innate curiosity of young and old alike. Program offerings change each week, so your little ones will never get bored. Activities are open to children ages 7 and younger and their families.
    When: Noon - 4 PM
    Fee: FREE for members; FREE with paid exhibit admission for non-members

    What: Family Fun Days at Churchill Howns
    Sundays at Churchill Downs are Family Fun Days Presented by Kroger. We invite all families and children to join us every Sunday of the Fall Meet for a whole day filled with fun. Pumpkin and Face Painting, make your own candy apple, pumpkin bowling, corn hole, candy corn, apple cider station and candy apple station.

  • Where: The Frazier Museum, Louisville
    What: Veterans Day Celebration
    Veterans and Active Duty get in Free. Everyone else pays $5. Special Veteran's Day themed historic performances throughout the day. The museum is collecting items to send overseas for care packages. Parade in front of the musuem at 2 PM.
    When: Parade starts at 2
    Fee: Veterans and Active Duty Military Free; everyone else $5. Does not include admission to Diana exhibit.

    What: Hardin County Veterans Tribute
    Our military men and women put their lives and their families' future in jeopardy everyday to protect and defend our nation. Our Civil Service workers stand behind our military in support of their efforts.
    The Hardin County Veterans Tribute, due to be completed on Veterans Day 2012, is to honor the sacrifices and service of all United States veterans from each of the five military branches, and to say thank you to the men and women of the civil service. The Tribute offers an opportunity for you to show your heartfelt support for all men and women, living and deceased, who have contributed their all for our country's well-being and for our personal freedoms.

    Grandparents receive a free admission to Dinosaur World with a fully paid child admission the first 3 Sundays in November.

  • Where: Spalding University
    What: Speed About Town: Pop-Up Hands-On Family Art Studio
    Experiment with mixed media on a small scale in this Artist Trading Card Starter Workshop. Combine paper, fabric, embellishments, and stickers with stamping, stenciling, and other techniques to create artworks to collect and trade with family, friends, and others across the city.
    When: 12 - 3 PM
