Groupon is offering a great deal for Big Splash Adventure in Indiana! It is about a 2 hour drive to get there, but the waterpark looks SWEET!  They even have lazer tags which might make my boys pee in their pants.
The only downfall is that you can only purchase 5 of these tickets.  So those of you with larger families may have to buy a ticket or two at full price. Lucky for us, Jack is under 2 and that makes his admission FREE!

Pool Party on Fort Knox!

This Sunday there is a pool party at the outdoor waterpark! Enjoy a DJ, drawings for prizes, and food!  This event is free for Blue Star Card holders, but anyone is welcome to attend as long as they pay admission at the door. I believe this is $4 for military, and $5 for civilians.

Summer Activities for Teens on Fort Knox!

Devers Middle School & Teen Center has a ton of awesome activities for teens this summer!

The ACE summer series includes outings to Kings Island Amusement Park (already sold out), Paintball/Shotgun Shooting, and Canoeing and Mammoth Caves.














They are offering morning care for children that are too old for SAS but not quite ready to be on their own at home all day long. This program has a fee. It is a sliding scale based on income. They have a great summer enrichment schedule planned. View the flyer on the right for that schedule.






 Devers is also holding week-long summer camps during their regular session hours. Each camp costs $20 and covers a specific topic and includes a field trip.

• June 4-8 - Creative Stitching Camp includes babysitters training, first aid and CPR, and campers will make a multi-purpose beach towel. On Friday they will take a trip to the local dry cleaner to see how different fabrics are cleaned and pressed.

• June 11-15 - Robotics Design Camp teaches campers about robotics and includes a trip to the Louisville Science Center.

• June 18-22 - Capturing Creativity Camp includes trips to Michaels in Etown for a jewelry demo, and a trip to the Owensboro Fine Arts Museum.

• June 25-29 - Pixel Perfect Camp includes information about photography and trips to the Richter Gallery in Tennessee as well as a trip to the Hansen center to matte and frame photos taken during the week.

There are some extra fun goodies for the teens also!

  This mystery started with a BANG! It took place in Cactus Kentucky this afternoon shortly before Bubba’s body was found slumped over his desk. Participants need to interrogate all the suspects about the evidence left at the scene of the crime, Bubba’s Wine Bar & Grill. The investigation is underway but the evidence doesn’t add up. Although the case may be cold now, there are some steamy clues from the suspects and some real interesting personalities along the Wine Trail as well as some great KY wines.
  Now, shake off those dusty flea bitten boots and jeans of yurs, then come as ye are, take a bath if you need one, drag a comb through yur hair and get ready for a day of hip slappin, yeehaw grinning fun. Dusty will be on the karaoke singing his latest hits and crooning the gals, so say howdy when ya see him.
