Be a part of Santa’s workshop where elves help families create a wonderful holiday craft. Since Biblical times, shepherds and their flocks of sheep have been a central part of the Christmas story. The Locust Grove Chamber Players take you on a musical journey inspired by the shepherds of Europe and early America - including Silent Night in its original 1811 version, played on Locust Grove's 1806 Broadwood fortepiano. The Chamber Music series allows you to experience music much as the Croghans and Clarks would have, in the Great Parlor of the 1790s historic house.

Trees have long provided people with physical and spiritual gifts. Kids and their families will have fun using tree treasures to make their own ornament through the On Your Own Challenge and then exploring hands-on Discovery Stations during the afternoon. ECO Kids Discovery Days provide kids and families with opportunities to play outside, breathe fresh air, and learn about nature. Discovery Days take place the first and third Saturday of each month at Bernheim’s Visitor Center.

Well, climb aboard and bring the kids (and grandkids too!) to Yew Dell this holiday season for the popular Yew Dell Gardens Express – a fabulous snow village and model train display. This magical exhibit has been created by master model builder Bob Irmscher with support from some of the most talented model train enthusiasts in the region. In addition to the trains, kids of all ages will enjoy scavenger hunts, visits from Santa on December 1 & 8 and more! Bring your cameras!
