    It's an art show. It's a tourist attraction. It's a street party. It's a celebration of downtown Louisville that is bringing new visitors and new life to the Main and Market corridor. The First Friday Trolley Hop takes place on the first Friday of each month from 5-11 p.m., rain or shine. Most of the galleries close around 9 p.m. but the restaurants, clubs, and shops stay open later. The trolleys run until 11 p.m.

    A celebration reminiscent of the year 1811 comes alive as the Clark & Croghan families greet their guests. Music and dancing await in the 2nd floor parlor. Mantles and stairs are draped with fresh greens and fruits of all varieties. Out in the hearth kitchen the cook prepares the food and in the Visitors' Center light refreshments are available.

    What: First Friday Homeschool Program - Declaring Your Independence
    Recommended for 3rd – 8th grades. What inspired colonists to risk their lives to gain independence? Students address this question as they act out a modern day situation relating to one of the taxes or acts leading up to the American Revolution. In the galleries, students work on investigation guides to discover groups who fought for their independence throughout American history. History comes to life, as students view a performance such as “Patriots or Traitors”, “Molly Pitcher” or “The Battle of Trenton.”
    When: December 7, 2-4PM. Please arrive by 1:45 PM
