  • Where: Teacher Appreciation
    What: Museum Row on Main
    In celebration of American Education Week, the Frazier History Museum is teaming up with other attractions in downtown’s Museum Row district to honor educators! All teachers receive free admission for themselves and one guest at the following locations: Frazier History Museum, Kentucky Science Center, KentuckyShow!, Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory and Muhammad Ali Center.
    Note that free admission at Frazier excludes access to “Diana: A Celebration,” but teachers and their guests may view the exhibition at the member rate on Nov. 17 and 18. The member rate is $12; regular cost is $21.50. Tickets for this exhibition are date and time specific and available on a first-come, first served basis.

    What: Messy Afternoons
    Messy Afternoons are filled with sloppy, icky, gunky and gooey activities intended to introduce young learners to science concepts and tools, and foster the innate curiosity of young and old alike. Program offerings change each week, so your little ones will never get bored. Activities are open to children ages 7 and younger and their families.

    What: Family Fun Days at Churchill Howns
    Sundays at Churchill Downs are Family Fun Days Presented by Kroger. We invite all families and children to join us every Sunday of the Fall Meet for a whole day filled with fun.

  • Where: Louisville Science Center
    What: Choose Your Own Science Adventure
    This isn't your school's science club. We meet one Sunday afternoon a month and let participants drive the program. You pick books and articles, plan experiments, and lead discussions about relevant science topics. Past topics include zombies, science fiction, and robotics. Appropriate for students entering grades 6-8.
    November's session is all about Thanksgiving - launch turkey with a trebuchet and explode seasonal pumpkins, all in the name of science!
    When: 2-4PM
    Fee: FREE for Members, $2.00 per session for Non-Members.

  • Where: Spalding University
    What: Speed About Town: Pop-Up Hands-On Family Art Studio
    Experiment with mixed media on a small scale in this Artist Trading Card Starter Workshop. Combine paper, fabric, embellishments, and stickers with stamping, stenciling, and other techniques to create artworks to collect and trade with family, friends, and others across the city.
    When: 12 - 3 PM
