Each year, festival-goers enjoy a full day of performances, food, and fun. Entertainment this year will include local favorites Appalatin, The Monarchs, and all-lawyer band 100% Legal. A Kids Zone will feature games and activities for children, such as face-painting, until 8 p.m. A variety of food and beverages will be sold by on-site vendors. International crafts and other goods will be available for purchase from local artists and vendors. Several community organizations and nonprofits will also be on-hand, as a service to the public. There will also be a raffle for prizes from several area businesses. The raffle grand prize will be $500 cash. Raffle tickets cost $1 each and can be purchased in advance at participating ValuMarket locations and at the festival on the day of the event at the Americana booth.

Southern Indiana Kennel Club (SIKC) will be hosting their 14th annual American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned all-breed dog shows on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, 2013.. These shows offer competition in conformation, obedience and rally obedience classes. Dogs competing in conformation will be evaluated on their conformance to AKC breed standards, while those competing in obedience and rally will be judged on their ability to perform a series of voice and /or hand commands. The public is invited to come and watch the judging. If you are thinking about acquiring a new dog, this is a place to talk to breeders or owners of the breed, and learn more about the breed.
