July 4th

Whatcha doin' tomorrow? We will be visiting the Frasier Museum for the military free day, and then headed to a friend's for a BBQ!

Sunday, July 4th

  • Where: Louisville Science Center
    What: Snap, Crackle, Pop - How do fireworks and explosions work and why do we like them?
    Time: 9:30 AM – 5 PM
    Fee: $12/adults and $10/children


  • Where: Frazier Museum
    What: Independence Day Discount - FREE admission for active military and military veterans. For More Information: Guest Services Phone: (502) 753-5663
    Time: Noon – 5 PM
    Fee: Free for military


  • Where: Waterfront - Great Lawn, Festival Plaza & Harbor Lawn
    What: Waterfront Independence Festival - Waterfront Indy Fest is Louisville’s premier July 4th celebration. The two-day festival is the largest event of the summer and also produced by Waterfront Development Corporation. Over 150,000 people attend the event each year, which features concerts by national recording artists, children’s activities, a festival food & beer garden and fireworks over the Ohio River both nights. www.waterfrontindependencefestival.com
    Time: 5PM – 11PM
    Fee: Free, but many vendors and food vendors.


  • Where: C. Douglas Ramey Amphitheater, Central Park
    What: Shakespeare in the Park – Richard III
    Time: 8:00 PM
    Fee: Free
