    What: Cutting Propagation Class
    Learn the tricks of the trade of plant propagation by stem cutting. Join Yew Dell Head Gardener, Mark Jarecki, for this handns-on propagation session. Participants will learn about the basics of rooting biology, root-promoting hormones, propagation facilities and more. After several weeks of rooting, participants will be able to take home their newly propagated plants.

    Butterflies need our help! Learn how the plants you select for your garden or landscape can provide food for butterflies (like monarchs and swallowtails) and their caterpillars. Bernheim Lunch & Learn programs are designed for those who enjoy spending time outdoors in the company of other adults who love learning about nature. Hosted by Corinne Mastey, Volunteer Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide, each program includes group introductions, a short themed hike, and a fabulous lunch from Isaac’s Cafe.
    When: 10:30 am - 1:00 pm
    Fee: Bernheim Members $15; Non-Members $20. Fee includes guided program, iced tea or lemonade, a cup of soup, and a half sandwich from the following Bernheim Lunch & Learn menu.

    What: Land Steward Volunteer Project Day
    Join our Land Steward team for one day or as an ongoing volunteer. Participants aid in land management duties such as identifying and removing invasive plant species, identify and protect sensitive areas, seed collection, planting, gardening and watering. Each project day has a different task, determined by weather and need, and announced the week of the event. Suitable for ages 14 and up; must be accompanied by an adult.
