  • Where: West Point Veterans Memorial Park
    What: West Point River Days Festival
    Interactive History "Museum"! Carnival Rides! Fireworks! Old Fashioned Games! Civil War Re-enactors! Six Guns Entertainment! Auction! Pageant! Prizes! And much, much more!
    A carnival with rides, games and food will be at the park on the river. A Sunday Best beauty contest for children will be held on Thursday at 6 pm (registration begins at 4:30pm and goes until 5:30 pm). A museum will be opened to the public to display many artifacts, photographs, and a short film. Friday we'll have Old Fashioned Games, a Pet Parade and an auction. Fort Duffield will provide re-enactors throughout the festival. Gix Guns Entertainment will also put on a show Saturday, July 9th at 1pm and 3pm!
    Saturday at 9 am will be a walk/run/roll put on by the West Point Baptist Church. Call the church for more details.
    Saturday evening we close out the festival with fireworks!
    Moe Bear and the Full Throttle will perform both Friday and Saturday nights. Come out ready to dance the nights away!!!

    what lies over the rainbow. One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away over the rainbow to another world. Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination.

    Hear recollections and witness reenactments from Elizabethtown's most notorious characters. We gather every Thursday evening "On the Square" at 7:00 p.m., June through September. The tours are FREE and open to the public . . . don't miss it !!
